The Deets

On the last day of our Echuca Trip I organised a quick visit to the Beer Shed we saw on Sunrise a few months earlier before our trip home. Although David and I aren't drinkers, there were a lot of old bits and bobs prompting memories from our childhoods.

Melissa - It was a pretty cool collection of all different Australiana memorabilia. I would recommend this place!

David - This place was pretty awesome. If you ever get a chance to go, go!

The Deets

Last weekend David and I had Friday off (Footy Grand Final Public Holiday) and travelled to Echuca to get away for the weekend again just the two of us. The kids were invited but being school holidays Jie picked up some extra shifts at work and Nevaeh has become nocturnal awake gaming all night and sleeping all day. With the remainder of the money I won on my birthday in July on the pokies, we booked this trip two months ago as we had both never been.

I found Echuca was really slow paced place, almost like going back in time. From the interior of the place we were staying to the old paddle steamer we went on everything just felt old and slow. There was next to no menulog or door dash options like the luxury home has but we did eat well spending money at Coles and using the microwave provided.

David and I did enjoy the big shower, opting for the Disabled Room. The room had so much space and the bed was so soft we both had trouble sleeping.

We did enjoy watching the Footy though, watching our team make it to the grand final which is in two days time.

I drove most of the way home swapping with David in Gisborne, 40 minutes from home.

Melissa - I enjoyed Echuca, but wont return. I felt like I saw everything I wanted to see and I was just thankful for this time with my man one on one.

David - I was alright, it had a real country vibe to it. The Paddle Steamers was nice and the skipper was french sharing a lot of knowledge. I would recommend it and go back!
